Solid Bottom Board for Beehives

The Solid Bottom Board is the base to your hive. Made to withstand years of use in the hive. The re-enforced front entrance and back with solid board, resists decontaminating or board separation. The center support adds additional hive support, and also allows for easy strapping of the hive, without lifting the hive.

The spacing on the bottom allows for strapping your hive for transport or wind protection.

Our solid bottom boards are designed with a reduced entrance height to help colonies better defend their hive compared to traditional bottom boards that use a larger butt-joint rail opening. The smaller entrance helps limit access points, making it easier for bees to guard against robbing, pests, and predators while also reducing drafts during cooler weather. When paired with our entrance reducer, the system is specifically designed to help prevent mice and other unwanted intruders from entering the hive. This added protection helps support stronger, healthier colonies while giving beekeepers better control over hive security throughout the season.
