SALT LAKE CITY: July 28, 2020
Harvest Lane Honey is excited to announce the hiring of another key member of our “Hive”, Mr. Brad Mecham, as Vice President of Operations. Brad has formally started in this new role as of July 27, 2020.
Brad comes to Harvest with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Project Management. Brad is a Black Belt in Six Sigma as well as a Certified Manufacturing Technologist (SME). Brad holds a Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology with a Minor in Management from Brigham Young University. Brad has over 15 years in leadership in the manufacturing sector and will be focusing his efforts on improving operations, increasing production capacity, and implementing lean manufacturing.
As Harvest Lane Honey continues to rapidly expand, we see this as a key hire to increase service levels to our customers and shorten lead times. “I am very excited to add one more key position as part of our growth strategy that started 3 years ago with our move to Salt Lake City to expand our facility, coupled with our hire of Dan Wort last year as our VP of Sales and Marketing. We have had our eye on Brad for a few years now and the time was just right to execute this hire,” stated Mindy Waite CEO/Co-Founder.
Harvest Lane Honey was started in 2008 by Jason and Mindy Waite and Mike and Rhonda Wells. It started as a garage business and has since evolved into a multi-million dollar business. Waite said “I remember many days and nights with the 4 of us owners working side by side to produce and fill orders. We have long since surpassed this and have continued to expand”. 2020 has been the largest growth year for Harvest Lane.
Waite states “I am grateful for the opportunity to be growing when I know so many other companies are struggling. I thank God every day for the opportunity I have to be working and continuing to employee good people. I am also very grateful to our retailers who continue to carry our products.”
